Announcing a new art project Get To Work! You Big Babies!

On October 4, 2023 I launched the project “Get To Work! You Big Babies!”an open edition of products that lift your spirits, hopes and dreams.

Anyone who follows acclaimed art critic @jerrysaltz knows that he encourages his audience by often saying “Get To Work! You Big Babies!” I remember once seeing his handwritten marker on yellow notepad paper, posted to his Facebook account on March 5, 2019. It had an impact on me. Like many artists and many people, I deal with depression. I’ve had huge lows and ultimate highs. But dang, those lows are really low. Anyway, back to Jerry’s words of wisdom - I’ve had a mixed reaction to his words. I often feel he doesn’t know how depressed an artist can get. But then he was an artist and we all know the history of his mother too. So maybe he does. But then I flip and take his words and they sometimes lift me out of the darkness. Anyway, if you’re like me, and you may find these words inspirational, I have something you may be interested in.

What products you ask? These products below.

50% of sales will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention:

Visual AIDS Postcards From the Edge Benefit 2023

Postcard invitation

Visual AIDS Postcards From the Edge Benefit 2023

I will be participating in this year's Visual AIDS Postcards From the Edge Benefit. The sales of the art works at this exhibit benefit the work of Visual AIDS. I urge you to go to this year's benefit. Not only for the good cause, but the postcard I made is definitely different than any other postcard that will be there. I assure you. It's beyond a postcard.

When:
January 5-8, 2023

Where:
Ortuzar Projects
9 White Street, New York, NY 10013
and online at
Postcards.VisualAIDS.org

—

Benefit Sale
Opens: Information coming soon.
Closes: Information coming soon.

More Information | 212-627-9855

Postcards From the Edge is a show and sale of original, postcard-sized works on paper by established and emerging artists. Famous in the art world as the most exciting and affordable way to build a collection of work by internationally renowned artists as well as young and emerging artists, all works are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. The works are signed on the back and exhibited so the artists' signatures cannot be seen. While buyers have a list of participating artists, they don't know who created which piece until purchased. A collector might end up with a work by a famous artist or someone they don't know yet. Either way, they walk away with a great piece of art while supporting the important work of Visual AIDS.
