Announcing new participatory work "I Cooked Dinner With Harth."
August 1, 2025
Food brings people together. Wherever you are in the world, it seems to be a common denominator. The joy of eating brings people of different faiths, ethnicities, nationalities, ages, genders, abilities, and socioeconomic backgrounds together. Together we can foster a connection, enjoy a conversation, and discover commonalities. We can share, laugh, and find a way to unite, even for brief amounts of time. I have done a few art projects that involve food; “I ate a burger with Harth.” and “I ate a taco with Harth.” and “Cap’n Cocoa Charms.” – However, this one is different, in that there is participatory meal prep and cooking involved!
Today, August 1, 2025, I am starting “I Cooked Dinner With Harth.”
How it works: You invite me over for dinner. You plan the menu. You are responsible for the recipes. You are the head chef; I am the line cook. You put me to work - you want me to chop carrots? Chop pickles? Chop bananas? I’m on it. Tell me what to do and I’ll do it. After we both prepare and cook the meal together, we then eat the meal together. Upon completion you’ll get this Signed Limited Edition Soapstone Trivet! I know this is some wonky wacky weird art - but - why the fuck would you not want this in your home? You provide the kitchen, the food, the dining utensils, etc.
Just reach out to me and we'll make plans to cook dinner together. This can happen anytime of day. Dinner could also mean lunch or breakfast. This is my art world, I control the definitions. This edition and experience are limited to 30. Please contact me if you’d like to make a reservation or have any questions.
Note: I’m a pescatarian, often just a vegetarian, flirting with becoming a vegan. But I’ll try anything once. What does this mean? It means while I prefer my dietary ways, I’m willing to try whatever you put in front of me. Hogs, Hearts, Hummus, Hákarl, Haggis, Hotcakes, etc.
Let me know if you’d like to cook dinner with me!
