On April 2nd, 2013 I posted to the social networking site Facebook a new status which read “I’m going to cut off my ears. Who wants them? I’ll sell them to you. I’ll sign and date them. Who wants my ears? Make an offer. I’m serious. Payment via paypal.” What followed was an interesting exchange of comments from my network of friends. My friends were not aware of what I was actually talking about.

On May 15, 2013 I posted again with “I cut off my ears. Who wants them? I’ll sell them to you. Signed & Dated. Who wants my ears? Make an offer. I’m serious. Payment via paypal. Whomever makes the highest payment to my paypal account by 12midnight EST Thursday May 16th gets them. Minimum “bid” is $199.00. Just send your funds along. The highest one gets them. The non-winners will be refunded. I’ll ship Friday morning.” Again, interesting comments ensued. My friends were not aware of what I was actually talking about. The person who sent me the highest amount via paypal would then get the set of three framed drawings.
