“I laughed with Harth.” is an experiential art work which started on May 7th, 2014.

Let's laugh together.

Those who know me well, know how much I love the American sitcom television show All in the Family. It aired in the late 1970’s. Although I grew up with it as a child, I didn’t fully understand it back then. It wasn’t until High School and College when I watched re-runs over and over and over again and completely fell in love with the show. This show makes me laugh. I rarely laugh out loud. But this show does it for me. This show makes me happy. It has a special place in my heart. I own all the seasons on DVD. I’d like to invite anyone to laugh with me. Let’s watch an episode together. There is no cost to you. If you watch one episode with me, you’ll get a little card that says that you laughed with me. Cards are hand numbered with the episode, location, date and are signed by me in ink. I consider this an art work. All we have to do is watch an episode together! Your place. My place. We just need a DVD player and a TV or Computer. I’m also willing to do this via Skype if you have access to the episode. Who wants to laugh with me?

Additional Details:

I have all the DVDs. There are a total of 209 episodes. I have 209 limited edition cards with unique images relating to each episode. I am not requiring that episodes be watched in order. If you’d like to request a specific episode, you can do so in advance. One per person no matter how many episodes you watch with me. Therefore this project must have 209 participants. If I watch episode 18 with someone, and that person is the first person to watch that episode, they get that specific card and it is no longer available. Someone else can still watch that episode with me, but they won’t earn a card until they watch an episode that still has a card available. If you watch three episodes or more with me, you'll get something special. By watching an episode with me you agree that I will photograph you and/or us together and the photo will become part of the project archive and posted online with your name.
