Information:

The instruction sheet in the art work, "9 Preserved Cats," instructed the viewer to dial a phone number and place an order for a Preserved Cat by giving this item name and number: # 69-5248 (Plain Small 12-14 Cat). They were to give their name and address for shipping. The viewer was instructed to give David Greg Harth's American Express Card Number and Expiration Date for payment. Seventeen phone calls were made. 9 preserved cats were shipped to those that placed addresses and paid for by David Greg Harth. The other eight viewers that phoned got a post card in the mail indicating item was not available.

A note about the animals: No cats were intentionally harmed for this art work. To quote the source of where I originally got the preserved cats from: “Cats are sourced from pounds and shelters. All shelters are required to retain animals for a specified time to maximize the possibility of adoption. Animals that are not adopted are euthanized at the shelters and preserved for dissection under the guidance of USDA regulations. These animals are "recycled" for education; otherwise they would have been incinerated or placed in a landfill after euthanasia.”
